What we collect

When you create an account, we store your email address and the display name you provide (this doesn't have to be your real name — it's just what shows up on your plan and to your crew). We also log the IP address requests come from.

To understand how people use the app, we log a few events — generating a plan, opening the printable view, intending to print, and saving a plan — for both signed-in and anonymous users. These events include a coarse, IP-derived location (city/ region level, not precise).

Share links are public

The "share with crew" link for a plan is not password-protected or tied to a specific person — anyone who has the link can view that plan, by design, so a crew member doesn't need an account to check it. We don't consider a plan's contents (pacing, to-dos, drop bags) very sensitive, but if you'd rather not have that information viewable by anyone who might come across the link, keep that in mind before sharing it widely.

Course data may be wrong

Aid station locations, mileages, elevation, and cutoff times come from race management's own published materials. Races change course details — sometimes at the last minute, because of weather or local conditions — and this app has no way to know that happened. Always defer to race management's own official communications (course marshals, race-day emails, posted signage) over anything shown here.

Weather forecasts are estimates

Weather shown in your plan is a forecast, not a guarantee — and mountain weather in particular is notoriously hard to predict and can shift significantly in the days (or hours) before a race. Treat it as a rough guide, not something to plan safety-critical decisions around.

Forecasts get more accurate the closer they are to race day, so refresh yours often as you plan — don't rely on a forecast you pulled up weeks or days earlier.

Offline access is your responsibility

This app is built so your plan keeps working on your phone even with no cell signal or internet, once it's been opened while you had a connection. Making that happen is on you: open your plan (and your crew's share link) while you still have signal, ahead of race day, and avoid anything that can clear that saved copy — reopening the browser fresh, clearing site data/history, or a low-storage cleanup on the phone can all wipe it without warning.

For anything safety-critical, don't rely on your phone alone — print a paper copy of your plan and carry it with you.

Use at your own risk

This app is a planning aid, not a safety system. Ultra-distance racing carries real risk regardless of how good a pacing plan looks on paper — you're responsible for your own preparation and decisions on race day.
