Chicot State Park, 3469 Chicot Park Rd, Ville Platte, LA 70586 — enter the park address (not 'Chicot State Park') in your GPS; it brings you to the front gate and the start/finish. Plenty of parking at the start/finish. Crews are welcome at the start/finish and at Aid Station #1; crews are NOT allowed at Aid Station #3 (limited access) and are not listed for Aid Station #2. Aid station locations and crew directions are posted by the race. Obey the park speed limit — a crew caught speeding gets the runner disqualified. Drop bags: a designated area near start/finish for chairs and supplies between loops, plus one drop bag (5-gallon bag max, labeled with name and bib) hauled to Aid Station #2 about 8 miles into the loop; bags return to the start/finish by 9:00 AM Sunday. Pacers allowed for the final 20-mile loop only (one at a time). Packet pickup Friday 4-6 PM and race morning 5:30-7:30 AM at the start/finish; every runner must check in there (not chip-timed).
